Alaina is 3!!!!

I don't know when my little girl became such a big girl!! We celebrated her third birthday on 3 different days. First party was on Sunday, June 7th. We had all the grandparents over for a light lunch and cake. Alaina opened her presents, she had more interest in the cards. She was throwing everything out of the gift bags not even looking at the stuff searching for the cards at the bottom :P She got some cute silky P.J.'s, Dora necklace, flip flops, dress, skirt outfit, bathing suit, Tinkerbell build a bear and lots of money. She couldn't wait to eat her cake, as soon as she was done with the gifts she asked for her cake. She watched me bake it the night before. So I had to explain to her lunch was first. She requested a blue princess crown cake a couple weeks before. As I was baking the cake, she changed to a pink & blue princess crown. Her second party was on her actual birthday, the 9th. We had dinner in Chatham at Grammy and Kipp's. She got some garden tools to help us in the yard, rakes and shovel, an umbrella (was her favourite, which surprised me. She had to open it up right away and walk around with it. She even asked to take it to Daycare with her the next day!) and a kite. We had chocolate ice cream cake this time. Then Daddy brought them to watch me play volleyball, of course they came when our team was off, so she didn't get to watch me play, she was pretty upset, talking about it still the next day. Her third party was on Saturday, June 13th. We had a few friends over to the house. They played, ate lunch and decorated their own cupcakes :) Thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating and for all your thoughtfulness!!

Back to The Wheel's Inn

We went back to the Wildzone at the Wheel's one weekend when we heard it will be closing soon. We were hoping to take the girls on the go carts but they weren't open that day. This time Alivia had some fun too! :) We just went to the zig zag maze and once again Alaina did not want to leave! Don't mind the red eyes, didn't have time to edit.

First trip to the Circus

We took the girls to the Circus in Chatham at the Kinsmen Auditorium on May 26th. Alaina watched intently. Alivia watched for a bit and then got squirming, which came to no surprise. I learned shortly later that she also skipped her afternoon nap that day so it all made sense! She did really well considering that and sitting for almost 2 hours straight. I got up twice and let her wonder around a bit. I found the circus good but disappointing at the same time. I thought it was going to be like when I was a kid, Animal acts and clowns, etc. There was an acrobat, dirt bike daredevils, dancers, a clown like man doing acts, involving the audience and a family act that did gymnastic moves. We had Alaina all excited to see animals, what kid doesn't love to see animals, so it was a bit disappointing in that aspect but still a really good show and she said she liked it. So all and all it was a good outing.

Mataya's 4th Birthday - Princesses :)

We celebrated Mataya DeCook's birthday on Saturday, May 23rd at her house. All the girls dressed up as Disney Princesses and there was one prince :) They played a game, swung at a Pinata, ate cake and had lots of fun! Thanks for having us! :)

14 Months

Alivia is working hard at her speech. She is pointing more and more and is getting frustrated. She is looking at us like why aren't you doing what I'm asking! She loves to be outside, she will bring my shoes to me lol So we have to make sure we are ready to go right then if we mention anything to do with the outdoors. Her daycare lady has noticed too. She said she is constantly going to the shoes wanting to go out. No idea what her weight and length are, I know it's the same slow steady growth from the last few months. She's starting to fit in 12month clothing better and even outgrowing some of the smaller 12month sizes. She loves to spin around in circles, most of the time, it's her dancing. Stomping her feet is her all time favourite, you can hear her all over the house, and she giggles as she's doing it. Scratch that, all time favourite is standing at the patio door, getting marks all over it and banging on it. I had to make a drawer for her in the kitchen, with wooden spoons, bowls and other noisy cooking utensils to entertain her while I'm in there and keep her out of my cupboards! She likes to kiss and wave to her reflection in the mirror and dishwasher. She says 'HI" repeatedly to the mysterious baby.

13 Months

At Alivia's First Year appt, she weighed a whopping 16lbs 14oz and was 28" long. A bit bigger than Alaina but over an inch shorter! She had her two shots, first one didn't phase her, second one she cried for about 30secs and then was fine. What a trooper! I hope she's as good for her 15months :P She is pointing at everything, sign's 'please, milk, all done and more.' She's been walking on her tip toes alot lately. She can kick a ball and Daddy lol. She likes to stand on her little couch, kick her feet out and drop to her bum, no fear I swear! She loves to be outside, especially in the wagon or bike trailer. She's been having fun in her swing and going down her slide by herself too. She is really starting to copy everything Alaina does, especially singing and dancing, too cute. She is a little devilish, she will grab something she knows she's not suppose to, look at you and grin, turn and just book it away from you! Little stinker, which Alaina yells as she is chasing her to get it back lol My Favourite thing is how she stops playing, comes and gives me a hug and goes back to play :) I really love this age, minus the throwing food on the floor! She's getting better, she will hand it to me, as long as I'm paying attention and don't make her wait too long lol I wish they didn't grow so darn fast!!

We went to Walmart to get pictures done for Alivia's First Birthday. It isn't as cheap as it use to be :( But still fairly reasonable. I spent more than I planned on, as usual! I didn't plan on getting one of just Alaina this time around but couldn't resist!
