The Holidays

Well Christmas and New Years have come and gone. Boy do I have alot of typing to do now :P We got together with Auntie Hope, Uncle Rob and Zach on Sunday the 23rd for breakfast at the track kitchen and then back to their house of gift exchange. Alaina got an ornament, Crayon Tadoodles, finger puffs and money. Zach is growing like a weed and still loves to sleep, lucky Hope! The 24th we had our new stair railing installed so Alaina's crib could be converted to a daybed and she would be safe to get up on her own. Then we went to the Dresden Legion for our traditional family drink before dinner. This year dinner was at Nan's. Alaina got P.J's, books, money and a bowling set. Then we went home and watched the movie Deck the Halls with Auntie Bailee and Grammy. I had to help Santa get all the presents under the tree before I went to bed. :) We woke Alaina up at 7am Christmas morning, had breakfast and then let her come see what Santa brought. She just pointed and went up to the tree. She tore through her presents this time but needed encouraging to keep opening and not to just play with what she just opened! Daddy bought her first pair of hockey skates and money. Mommy and Santa got her a kitchen with accessories, Ball house, Mrs. Potato Head and a little radio. Then Grammy, Nan and Auntie Bailee came over for more presents and breakfast. Alaina got clothes, movies, hair accessories, bath bubbles and colouring sticks, shoes, socks, play cellphone and a Little Leaps game system. Then it was time for an early nap to get ready to head to Grandma Peggy's in Chatham for 1pm. There she got, Dolls, Magnadoodles, clothes, e-pet, figurines, and a housecoat. She had alot of fun playing with her cousins, especially Drew, poor guy had to let her play with his game. Then home and back to bed. We woke her up in time for dinner with Grandpa, Uncle Ricky and Aunt Bailee. She got a stroller for her babies, money, Aquadoodles, toy blender and a book. On boxing day we converted Alaina's crib into a daybed and she had her nap. She did very well, didn't even try to get out! Then we went to Grandpa Goetheyn's for dinner. There Alaina got clothes, colouring books, crayons, markers, puzzle and doll. I hope I'm not forgetting anything, either way, she was very spoiled this Christmas!!! We thank everyone very much for all the wonderful things our family received!!

Looks like you guys had a great Christmas! It's crazy how different things are when you have kids. We've been criss-crossing Ontario all December for different Christmas celebrations, and Parker got quite the loot. People looove spoiling babies!
