First Family Vacation

Well we made it back from our first family vacation all in one piece! :) We headed off to Collingwood this past Sunday until Tuesday, our 3rd anniversary! We arrived around 4:30pm and unpacked and hit the pool! Then we went for supper with my friend Amanda who swung us the amazing deal :) Then Monday after lunch we went into the village and did some walking and shopping, then it downpoured so we drove around sightseeing while Alaina napped. Then we had dinner with Amanda again. Tuesday morning we packed up and said goodbye. We went up in the mountains and took a nature walk and found a beautiful waterfall and took in the beautiful scenery before the long drive home. We decided to take a different route home, I navigated us all the way old school, using a map! We had a good time, was a bit disappointing that some of the things we wanted to do weren't open until may 5th, gives us an excuse to go back! As soon as we got home, Brandon wanted to go on the 4 wheeler, so he took Alaina around the yard with him. Well here's some pics :)

More Pool Pics

Well here's more pool pics, excuse the red devil eyes, my parents don't have a photo editor. Alaina has mastered shaking her head no! Most of the time she doesn't do it to actually say no but sometimes she does. She's really starting to copy and trying to copy almost everything we do too, and the fun begins! lol We've been busy playing with friends the past couple days with this nice weather. We've seen Madelyn Metcalfe, Mataya DeCook, Hamilton Girls and Landon Hoskins, it was great seeing you all! [email me some pics please Kris and Mel :)] Well off to eat and finish packing :P

Water Baby

We took Alaina to the Wallaceburg pool this past Wednesday for the first time, she loved it!! We held her for a bit and played, she shivered, it wasn't too bad but they didn't have the air warmer then the water. Then we put her in the dolphin floater and she had a blast, 40mins later we were getting changed and going home for a nap! She also had her 10 month check up on Thursday, she weighs 15 lbs 14 oz and is 28 1/2" long! She's where she should be developmentally and doing great. We go back in 2 months now. My computer is still broke and we are heading off on a mini vacation this weekend for our anniversary, not sure when I will be able to post and email again. :( I forgot my camera so these are the pics my mom took, not as many good ones, oh well, enjoy these pics for now, I will have to post more later :)

10 Months already

Well I can't believe my baby is close to being one year already! She is growing soo fast and doing soo much. She started to take steps this past week!!! She took two in between the ottoman and the couch and the next day she took three from the ottoman to me :) She is standing really well and dances to all music! She can get down off the furniture pretty much by herself. She is eating almost all table food now, which makes things a bit easier :) I've had to move the dvd player and things back, she gets on her tip toes and reaches, she got a pile of dvd's in the face the one day ~ it didn't stop her from going back and trying to eat them again! She can say Mama, Dada, Papa, Hi, whass sat, Bye kinda of and we are working on Baby. She doesn't have her Dr. Appt until the 19th so I will have to post her stats then.

HAPPY EASTER!!

Well Easter has come and gone and Alaina is thankful she doesn't have to have any more pictures taken with bunny ears on! lol (No thanks to Auntie Hope, who bought them! lol) She was spoiled once again!! We didn't do anything special for Alaina this year, we thought she was too young to really know anyway. We bought her a ride on/walk behind truck and Baby Einstein Dvd. We don't think of Easter as a big holiday (gift giving especially) so starting next year it will be an easter egg hunt and one gift and that's all! :) THANK YOU EVERYONE for all the gifts ~ cute clothes, stuffed animals, shoes, movie, Easter Decorations and cards. They were all appreciated and clothes were especially needed for the summer coming :) We didn't get a good family picture, the best one of Alaina, Brandon and I both looked really bad, so I cut us out :) Now to show you how much she was tortured this holiday :P
