Baby Showers

We have been busy planning and attending baby showers. We had Candy Taylor's baby shower first at Taylor residence on Sept 9th. She had an outdoor open house, very casual and relaxed. Was nice to see everyone and enjoy the nice weather. Candy has the beautiful pregnancy glow and is almost ready for baby Taylor to arrive. We are all very excited to see if Mike is capable of making a boy! :) I unfortunately left my camera so I have to wait for everyone else to send me the pics they took that day.
Next was Hope's baby shower. Kristy Metcalfe, Shannon Ford and myself threw Hope and Rob a baby shower for Baby Hart on Sunday, September 16th at the Old Czech Hall in Dresden. Thanks to everyone who helped make this day special for Hope. Especially Karen Hamilton, Danielle Ross, The Wright's and the rest of family and friends that pitched in with food and helping at the hall. We appreciated it all so much and I know Hope and Rob did especially! We had a stressful start with a mix up with the hall but everything worked out and Hope was left in the dark until after the shower had started and everything was smooth sailing :) Baby Hart was given many wonderful things. Hope and Rob should almost be ready for their bundle of Joy to arrive.
This sunday coming up is Danielle Ross' baby shower! I hope everything goes as well for her as it has for the last two. Some people say there's an epidemic out there and not to drink the water all of us L.K.C.S girls had in the last year! lol

Now for some pictures!

Cleaning

My little girl loves to help clean. She's always rubbing her hand on the table, trying to clean her mess, which of course is making it worse. If I have a rag in reach, she will use it. She also has been trying to throw things in the garbage, luckily it is usually garbage. We have a safety lock on that cupboard but she tries to get her arm in, so I go and help her and she will shut the door after. :) Lately she was been playing with the swivel vac. She will drag it around the kitchen floor. Well last night, she decided it even had to be on and she did almost the whole floor! Soo cute! I tell her what a good helper she is. I HOPE she stays that way for years to come! I know, wishful thinking LOL Here are some pics :)
You can see how hard she is concentrating too! :)

The left picture is a close up of the face. (kinda alien like) The right is further back, same view, arms are up and the body is curved. These pictures are not as clear and good as the ones I had for Alaina :(
But he/she is doing great and that is the main thing!

Just some more cute pics of our Proud little Big Sister!!

Laundry ~ Back Post

I just found that I had this post saved as a draft! I already posted the pic in another post, you guys must have been soo confused! Anyways, you can get up to speed now LOL

Alaina likes to help fold the laundry, more like, take it from the basket and put it wherever she wants, sometimes she will bring it back and throw it in the basket for me to fold before I'm finished. The one day she was helping Brandon. She grabbed one of his socks and proceeded to try and put it on her foot! I asked if she wanted Mommy to help, well she did. So I put his ankle sock on her, which was a knee high on her! Then she went and grabbed another one and tried to put it on the same foot, so I asked if she wanted me to help again and she did. She pranced around the house for over an hour wearing his socks. It was so cute and hilarious :P It was even funnier watching her trying to take them off, using one hand and pulling from the toe laying on her back LOL She got one, was getting really mad for the second, so I offered my help again, and again she let me :) Crazy Kid. Enjoy the pic!
The next day, we were upstairs putting clothes away and Alaina grabbed one of my bras out of the drawer, she wanted it on too. She ran around upstairs so proud to have it on, it was quite the sight, sorry no picture for that one! LOL

Camping

We decided to take our brand new-old camper out the long weekend. This was going to be our first camping trip as a family with little miss Alaina. We booked our site last minute (4 days before lol) at Orchard View Campground on the lake by Forest. We left Friday at 1pm and arrived around 2. We got all set up and took a bike ride and a walk around the campground. Went down to the beach which was a workout! Especially for B pushing the stroller, it was soo steep, we needed a break on the way back up! You couldn't swim in this lake due to all the rocks, the water was warm too, so that was a bummer. Then we bought our fire wood and started preparing for dinner. Well 2 hours later we were eating! The wood was soo damp, it wouldn't stay lit and of course we forgot an axe, paper and kindling. So needless to say we scrambled looking for twigs around the campground and any paper product we found in our stuff. It was a chore! Good thing I packed non-cooking junk food to eat in the meantime :)

Our camp site was part of the playground so we were entertained/kept up by the kids until 11pm. Good thing Alaina was so exhausted from only having a short nap that she zonked out with no problems! Now Sat was another story! We had a family nap in the afternoon for about 2 hours after our drive to Forest for lunch and around. That night the kids kept Alaina up for about 45 mins. I heard a noise and wasn't sure if it was coming from inside the camper or around the corner. I went to walk behind and check and there was little Alaina, peaking out the window smiling! She had pulled the curtains right down!! It was soo cute and funny, I wish I had my camera on me, it probably was too dark to really see anyway though. She did that twice before finally settling down for the night. Once again it took us over 2 hours to get our fire started and to stay going with our damp wood! I ended up asking a seasonal person if we could get a couple pieces of dry wood off them. What a difference that made! We got up Sunday morning, ate breakfast and packed up to head home. We were home by lunch time and discovered our 4 Wheeler had been stolen out of our locked shed while we were
gone :( Brandon was soo upset, but we were smart enough to have insurance on it. So we unpacked the trailer while we waited for the police to come. Then we had another family nap :) Monday we went for dinner at Grandma and Papa Coles and visited with the Bustin Family who joined us. Now time for some Pictures! I didn't get many, our batteries died and I forgot to pack spares :(
Our home away from home :)
Saturday morning we woke up to tons of people in the park setting up a games day, activities were everywhere! Alaina was playing with the balloons
One way to keep her occupied was letting her push her stroller all around :P
