Pumpkin Carving :)

We took Alaina to get a pumpkin at Sarah's Market in Chatham on Sunday, October 21st. She had alot of fun running around looking and pointing at them all. She was picking up the stems that fell off and tried to put them back on LOL We finally grabbed one and went on our way. We didn't get to carve it until Monday, Oct 29th. We decided to carve a standard 'jack-o-lantern'. We figured Alaina is too young to care if we get really fancy :) She has a bit of a cold so daddy left her in her p.j's all day and I couldn't be bothered to change her for the pics :P She had fun scooping out the seeds but didn't want her hands inside at all! She was unsure of it when we shut the lights off for her to see it lit up, daddy designed it a bit scary for her age. She didn't cry and still wanted to play with it after, so it was a good night, all and all :) Enjoy the pics!

Alaina's Best Friend

is Dawson! She loves to play with him, feed him, hug him, and tease him! She shares all her food with him. I have to tell her no or stop giving her crackers to snack on when she's playing. Dawson has a rope bone that he likes to play with and Alaina will grab it right away and go to him. She tried to do that same thing with a treat stick, causing Dawson to get all excited when Alaina wouldn't let go once he had it in his mouth LOL When mom walks over with Daws, Alaina has to walk him. Mom tried to take him off the leash the one time and Alaina grabbed the hook and was chasing him and then went right to mom with it to put Dawson back on! Such a smart cookie :) She loves all dogs actually, as long as they don't hurt or scare her. Here are some pics of Alaina with her best friend and playing with nan :)

Been Hectic

Sorry, It's been a crazy month! Between everyone being sick and going to Toronto for a course, and family/friend events, I haven't had much time for picture taking of our little monkey. I have to go back to Toronto this weekend for two exams :( I'm going to be leaving my baby overnight for the first time, I sure hope I can concentrate enough so I don't have to leave her again to rewrite the exams!

Alaina has been a typical toddler! She's testing us and exploring and copying. She is constantly singing and dancing, it puts a smile on your face every time! She tries to snap her fingers while she's dancing, soo funny. Sometimes we can make out what song she is singing by the tone, one week it was the ABC's. They sing songs at Daycare everyday and I don't know 95% of them LOL She is climbing up in our rocking chair and is pretty good at staying on her bum. Well after a few times she decides to test us by going on her knees and when we say no on your bum and take her out of the chair, she stands at the chair pointing & saying "Yeah?" asking permission to climb back up, it's so cute and we are glad she understands that part! She grabs at you and does "tickle, tickle", of course her way is not tickling but she gets a kick out of it.

We haven't had a chance to go get our pumpkin and do fall pics yet, I'm hoping this Sunday when I get back from T.O. to do that. That's about all I can think of right now. I have some newer pics on my camera and will post them when I remember to bring it to work. For now, here is one of her that I cut out of the group pic at Madelyn's bday :)
