Forgot to Mention

a few more things that Alaina is doing. She now holds the phone to her ear (real and play ones) and says hi and continues talking in baby jibberish. I always give her the phone and say Hi, How are you doing, thanks for calling, Bye. So I think she's trying to say all of that, sooo sweet! :) She found her tongue a month ago and was sticking it out and licking her lips and stuff, well now she's trying to grab it with her fingers! So funny to watch. She has found a cupboard in the kitchen she likes to play in too, I have a picture of her in action I will have to post later on. We went to my moms on the weekend for dinner with the family and we were cleaning up the dishes. Mom and I were unloading the clean dishes from the dishwasher, before we knew it, alaina was standing on the lid and handing me a mug from the top rack! lol She's so quick! I didn't have time to take a picture, I didn't want her to think it was ok to climb on the dishwasher. She loves to climb! She's starting to climb back down the stairs, Brandon is trying to teach her to come down on her bum but she likes to come back down the same way she went up. She hasn't perfected it yet though. She knows where her toes and head are, she doesn't point to them every time but she does when she wants to like everything else, when Alaina wants to lol That's all for now, I will post more pictures when I remember to bring my camera :)

Soo Smart

Well we have been super busy with an unexpected home renovation :( Taking a break with a home cooked meal at my parents. Alaina now likes to play in the grass! Now I wish she didn't, having to chase her more lol She can say cockadoodle doo now, of course it doesn't sound exactly like that. She can shut off the lights and closes the doors for us, and open them. We have to make sure the one at the bottom of the stairs is closed tight or she's climbing before we know it! She put her ring back on her stack finally after months of trying to teach her, guess when she's ready to do something she will :P She still likes to crawl more than walk, it's faster, hoping that changes soon :) She went to the sitters for the first time last week. First day was a half day and the second was a full day. The first day was hard on both of us, crying periods every so often :( We made it through, see how this first whole week goes this week. I go back to work on Tuesday, going to be soo wierd after a year off!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOMMY'S!!

Well we had an eventful day. I slept in :) Then we went for Brunch with B's stepmom and family, then I went and visited Grandma Blommaert while Alaina slept in the car, then off to B's mom's house for a visit. Finally back home and we took a family nap :P Then up and off for Chinese with my mom and family. Back home to relax.

Alaina got me a pedicure, can't wait to get my toes pretty again!

11 Months :(

My little girl is almost a toddler, seems soo hard to believe. She is walking more and more but isn't a pro just yet :) We, well I am getting things ready and organized for her Big First Birthday! Seems like yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital. Soon I will be visiting all my friends in the hospital with their newborns arriving! It looks like another tooth has found it's way through on the bottom. She likes to play outside but has to be on the blanket, the girl in her doesn't like the grass on her hands, her feet seems to be ok but she doesn't like to touch it any other way. Hopefully that changes soon! Well, some more pics ;P

New things

Well Alaina has been up to a few new things. First thing, she has popped a new tooth through finally after 3 months of teething! Another on the bottom, that's 7 now. She now plays peekaboo using her hands and her blanky too. She doesn't just bounce to dance anymore, she has started to sway side to side and likes to rock when shes sitting from side to side. So cute to watch her watch us and try to copy and she tries to copy stuff on the t.v. We bought a weerider to take her for bike rides yesterday. She seems to like it, not too sure of the wind but keeps her head sideways :) She can say nanana, and sings ei ei o when Old McDonald is playing, of course her version sounds more like wanwaawo lol All animals now are called 'dah' She's just so sweet and growing soo fast. I'm sure going to miss her and watching her do new things when I go back to work on the 28th :( It's going to be a big adjustment.

Alaina decided she needed to relocate her toy bucket, she's dragging it with one hand, you can kinda see her bucket in her other hand, sooo strong!

Don't worry we do have a helmet for her :)
